About

ABOUT ME

My name is Tadiwanashe Nyanga known as Que.  I’m a creative, musician & Fashion designer. I’ve managed to establish the brand Que through music and fashion.

I come from the City of Harare in Zimbabwe Africa.  As a creative I love showing the lifestyle of how we keep the city alive artistically through music and fashion. My aim is to become a culture head showing the interaction of Fashion, style and Music as it creates a cool aesthetic which gives my music brand a cool image which is actually influencing a lot of young youths to become creative and go after their dreams.

Shows & Tours (Botswana & German)

In 2019 I exhibited my first fashion collection called Vashona in Botswana at a fashion show called Fashion without Borders. Vashona narrated a story of a day in the past in the Shona culture. I narrated how they used rock paintings as a way of communicating or documenting certain events. This inspired a project called Ngoma neHosho

Beginning of  2020 I traveled to German, city of Flensburg for a music and fashion residency with my project Ngoma neHosho, Ngoma neHosho is an idea borrowed from our old musical instruments the drums and the shakers, meaning (Ngoma NeHosho) fusing it into garments of fashion defining the pulse of the modern day city because the drums and shakers where the pulse of the Village it kept the Village alive.

I performed and exhibited my fashion collection at an Arts Theater called Norder 147 and got to cross collaborate with a German band and fashion designers. I aslo got the opportunity to do a Ngoma Nehosho music concert at a club called Kuhlhaus.

On the 11th of November 2022 I started hosting my own music festival in Harare called Groovy Fest together in collaboration with First Floor gallery and the Zimbabwe National Arts Gallery sponsored by Jacaranda Media Company. Groovy Fest is a music event that gives non main stream and up-coming artist a platform to perform, because I have noticed that in Zimbabwe if you are not a mainstream artist events and promoters do not book you. This is killing our talent because a lot of young talented artist give end up getting depressed and sorting to drugs. So my aim is to amplify their voices.

Recent German Music Tour

In March 2023 I travelled to Germany for a music residency for 3 months. I am now working with a German colleague called Meik Holthusen who is now my manager and he is also a musician himself I got to collaborate with a German producer called Sheba and we did a live session with his Band playing my Songs from my recent EP called From Que to You. I did 3 shows during my residency one in Münster, Hannover and Flensburg. The experience was amazing as I am exporting the zimbabwean culture to German, collaborating and sharing two cultures.

Press Feature
